Worst lists are a strange thing. I hate the feeling of seeing films I love on others', and it feels similarly strange putting films I know others love on my own. At the same time, these are the cinematic experiences I least enjoyed in 2013. Some were simply because they were very poorly made, while others were ham-fisted attempts at tackling 'important' themes, and others still were deeply problematic misuses of the medium for ill-thought reasons. But from the ludicrous twist of number eight to the mere seconds of passability in number one, what unites these films is that I don't regret seeing a single one.
1. Movie 43
3. The Paperboy
4. The Host
5. The Broken Circle Breakdown
6. Don Jon
8. Safe Haven (the parts that weren't that wondrous twist, anyway)
9. I Give It a Year
10. Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters
