That's right, Alejandro G. Iñárritu's follow up to the Academy Award winning Birdman bursts out of the confines and safety of the New York theatre scene and travels back in time to early colonisation of U.S in oppressively hostile territory. The Revenant is a tale of survival, revenge and beards pitting Leonardo DiCaprio against his Inception co-star Tom Hardy it looks like Iñárritu may have an award winning two-fer on his hands. Along for the ride is Academy Award winning cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki and this time it's been reported that for sections of the production, the shooting was restricted to 'magic hour,' that dusk time that yield the best photographic light, and that in one stretch they shot for no more than eight minutes a day. The little that we have to see of the film so far, aesthetically and everything else, looks absolutely incredible. Check it out below and let us know what you think?
